 VERITATIS SPLENDOR

Veritatis Splendor is a physical and spiritual home for Christians to protect, preserve, and proclaim all of the chief truths and teachings of Christendom. It is a community of true believers who work and live together to safeguard the deposit of faith through an uncompromising fidelity to Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition.

Veritatis Splendor includes a grand oratory and seven institutes of truth professing authenticity to liberal education, law, liberty, human rights, life, media and culture.

Directors of the Institutes live and work in the community and by virtue of the offices they hold become missionaries in the world to transmit these values in a way that promotes truth, goodness and beauty and in so doing, restores Christ in civilization.

KARI BECKMAN

Founder & Executive Director

Mrs. Beckman developed her love of education serving as a national officer for an international organization, which is dedicated to fostering a diversity of education options for children. She then worked for several years with the Department of Education in Georgia and Arizona, leading an initiative on leadership development in young people. As a nationally-recognized public speaker, she traveled the country sharing her passion for the highest standards of personal conduct and excellence in learning. With this zeal for education, her love of children, and her conversion* to the Catholic faith in 1993, she embarked on a life-changing road that led her to the founding of Regina Caeli Academy and a dedication to classical education in the Catholic tradition.

Since its founding in 2003, she has served as RCA’s Executive Director, guiding its growth from a single entity to close to 20 centers across the U.S. serving almost 1500 students and children. In 2019, she also oversaw the opening of RCA's first international affiliate, located in Bedfordshire, UK. With over 20 years of homeschooling experience, she is a champion of the home education method and considers it her passion to share the great news of homeschooling. She recently has been featured in Forbes magazine as well as internationally on the BBC news network for her work in hybrid homeschool education.

When not homeschooling or leading RCA, she spends her time supporting her local Catholic Church as the Pro-life Leader and Parish Council member of Our Lady of the Mountains in Jasper, GA. She lives in Canton, GA, with Rich, her husband of nearly 29 years, and their eight children.

*Her full conversion story may be read in the book "Chosen- How Christ Sent Twenty-three Surprised Converts to Replant His Vineyard" by Donna Steichen from Ignatius Press.
