Dave Woodyard

With more than 30 years in the service and hospitality industry, Dave Woodyard leveraged his extensive experience and long-time commitment to social welfare to become President and Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Charities Dallas in February 2016. At Catholic Charities, he oversees the organization’s nearly $15 million budget consisting of 17 programs serving more than 30,000 children, families and seniors in need every year. The position taps his deep service and organizational growth expertise, as well as ongoing Board and Trustee roles at several of Dallas’ top faith-based educational and philanthropic organizations.

Prior to joining Catholic Charities Dallas, Dave created a consulting firm to answer the growing need for private clubs of all types, both domestically and internationally, gaining professional insight and expertise in all phases of club’s life. His consulting role included business development and execution, strategic planning, feasibility studies, market research, concept development, membership strategy, programming, member retention planning and execution, facility planning, and design review. He also specialized in operational audits, financial analysis and assessment; troubled asset turnaround; acquisitions, start-up and divestiture; food and beverage operations and margin control; and leadership assessment and development.

For several decades before consulting, Dave played critical executive leadership roles at Dallas-based ClubCorp, Inc., the world’s leader in private clubs. Most recently, he served as the Executive Vice President of Operations and Business Development of the Business and Sports Division. During his tenure, he held strategic and operating responsibility for a multi-club division, including international clubs. He oversaw one of two operating divisions in the company, which encompassed over 50 private business, civic, social, and athletic clubs, including 48 domestic, three international, and three pending new clubs. In addition, he managed a division of nearly 4,000 employees.

Dave is Board Member of Bishop Dunne High School, Holy Trinity Seminary and also serves on the All Saints Catholic Parish Finance Committee. In the for profit world, Dave serves as a member of the Board for Mobicom, LLC and the Foundry Inc. and is a partner in Diamond Oaks Country Club. He is a former Vice-Chair & Trustee at The Catholic Foundation as well as a past member of the Club Managers Association of America, the National Club Association, and the International Health and Racquet Association. He and his wife, Kathleen, reside in Dallas and have five children.
